Preliminary purification of crude oil
Compare to the general and other ways to process omega-3 fatty acids, Huatai adopt an extra purification step to process our crude oil. Through this step, mostly free fatty acid, heavy metals, gelatin, color compounds and other impurities can be removed, the crude oil become much more pure. We know many impurities compound, such as heavy metals can accelerate the oxidation of unsaturated fatty acids in processes and storage. Preliminary purification of crude oil guarantees the high quality of our finished products.
Proprietary technology for removal of environmental pollutants
For omega-3 concentrated fish oil, GOED, EU and US Pharmacopoeia set limits on these compounds. Gentle process protect oil from oxidation and trans-fatty acids (TFAs)
The oxidation and thermal decomposition or trans-isomerization of unsaturated fatty acids can forms various peroxides compounds and trans-fatty acid (TFAs), which are proved to be hurtful on human health, it must be put into strictly control in industry process. In the quality limits set by GOED, EU and US Pharmacopoeia, the oxidation represented mainly by Peroxide Values, Anisidine Values, Totox etc.
Omega-3 Fish oil mainly consisted of high degree poly-unsaturated fatty acids, which are very instable against heat and oxygen. It can easy be oxidized with oxygen exposure in air and with long time heating and high temperature, it’s in high risk of thermal decomposition or trans- isomerization. So, mild process and extra care are absolutely necessary in production of concentrated omega-3 fatty acids.
